“As a child living in the italian countryside, I used to pick flowers and weave crowns, necklaces and earrings. I would position them above my ears, awkwardly letting them hang as a clumsy ornament. Growing up, the playfulness of adorning my body with flowers never changed. I wanted the stem to go right through my ear, like I imagined when I was a child, so a hid I screw in the post to give the illusion of the stem behind my ear.”
