This very rough sketch is just a simpler, softer and more abstract version of the same concept. The earrings (I would do two and find a way to work within budget) are made of a thin rectangular ribbon of matte yellow or white gold. They are entangled in each other in a rounder, careless way. This could also be two complimentary earrings that become one in the case or two opposite earrings.
